Are you able to recognize the difference between lust, love and infatuation? What does each one mean to you?

LUST is defined as a strong sexual desire.
LOVE is defined as a strong positive emotion of regard and affection.
Infatuation is defined as an object of extravagant short-lived passion.

  1. It's interesting to look at the particular pictures that were chosen for lust, love and infatuated. Let me explain:

LUST for me is like chocolate. You don't have to have it but you want it because it is there. It is that one thing you know you shouldn't have but you keep telling yourself that 'a little won't hurt.' :|

LOVE on the other hand is like butterflies flying away. In the case of this picture, little hearts that lift you to a very cozy place or your little personal place. Love captures the heart and directs the mind. For me, love cannot be explained but it definitely can be felt. It is the universal feeling that we all experience at one some point in our lives, whether that is intentional or not. =)

INFATUATION: This I thought was the funniest. For me, it is firm and is colorless unlike love or lust. The picture does a great job capturing that concept. It is interesting to also notice how the letters resemble the material used to make bricks. That was striking to me because when I think of infatuation I think of someone or something solid. A person so ground in his/her own ideas that nothing else matters. :))
